Finding Homes for Children in China

Since 1990, WACAP has united more than 2,000 children from China with their adoptive parents. Since 1992, Holt International has placed more than 7,000 children from China with adoptive families in the U.S. And every year, we continue to unite nearly 200 children from China with the loving families they deserve! While China's adoption program has evolved to meet the changing needs of the children it serves, it has remained stable, predictable and forward moving. Most importantly, many children are waiting for a loving adoptive family right now.

If you’re in the process of an adoption with WACAP, you’ll continue to work with a WACAP case manager as you move forward.

If you’re inquiring about adopting from China after February 7, you can learn more about WACAP’s merge with Holt International and about adopting from China below.

Adopting From China with Holt International

There have been many changes in China adoption recently: Orphanage partnerships are changing; More waiting kids are featured on China's "shared list"; there are fewer children with very minor special needs waiting for families. The good news is that Holt is prepared for these changes, and more than ready to help your family navigate the adoption process from start to finish. In our 20 years working in China, there have been lots of changes but we have always maintained a stable, forward-moving program. We have experienced teams both in the US and in China — each committed to the best possible outcome children and families in our program. We are one of only two registered NGO agencies in China — licensing us to continue providing adoption, foster care, medical support, and family strengthening services for orphaned and vulnerable children across China.
