There are over 100,000 children waiting to be adopted from U.S. foster care. These children have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, and wait an average of three years for a permanent family. When a child moves from one foster home to another, it can delay his or her development by up to six months.
WACAP limits these moves by placing children with foster families who are committed to adopting them or helping them transition back to their birth family.
The Fund for U.S. Kids is dedicated to children living in U.S. foster care. WACAP uses innovate outreach and advocacy strategy to find permanent families for these children.
