Autumn Leaves - National Adoption Month
Celebrated throughout November, National Adoption Month brings together many voices—foster and adoptive parents, state and local agencies, kinship providers, child advocates and more—all raising awareness about the 400,000 children in foster care across the U.S.

Growing from a week-long awareness week proclaimed by a Massachusetts state governor in the 1970s, today National Adoption Month includes an annual presidential proclamation and is celebrated all November long—through education, advocacy, activities and community events.
