A Family for Me

QKids featured March 2009

Mar. 30: José

José is an outgoing and intelligent boy with a wonderful smile. He loves watching and participating in all kinds of sports, especially football, basketball, baseball, volleyball and swimming. He also likes art, music, video games and animals. José gladly helps around the house and likes to be involved in family activities, as well as spending time with his friends. José is hoping for a permanent family with patient, nurturing parents who have the time to be there for him.

Mar. 23: Jeremiah

Jeremiah is bright and academically on target, and likes to laugh. Initially raised in the country, he loves being outdoors, riding his bike and interacting with animals, especially horses. He’s passionate about art and when given the choice, prefers doing art projects to playing sports, even though it means staying inside. He also loves collecting baseball cards.

Jeremiah will likely blossom as the only child in a two-parent home with a strong, consistent, father figure as a role model and a gentle, nurturing mother.

Matteo is a young teen with great potential. He has received Presidential Service Awards for his volunteer hours through the Torch Club and is seen as a leader and role model for others at the Boys and Girls Club.  He enjoys swimming, baking, social activities at church, riding his bike, reading and being with friends. He hopes to join a wrestling team at school.  Matteo will do well in a family that will work with him on his desire for independence while also providing the structure he needs for success.

Mar. 2: Skyler

Skyler is an engaging, playful, loving and funny child when he is with familiar adults and in familiar situations. He's just beginning to have the childhood experiences of attending school on a regular basis, playing with other children and exploring the world around him. Reading, drawing and going to the aquarium and science center are some of his favorite things to do. He would benefit from being the only or youngest child in a calm, patient, nurturing family with an involved dad.
