Ways to Give

Since 1976, WACAP has united more than 10,000 children from five different continents with their adoptive families and provided more than 250,000 children with humanitarian aid.

But many children in need of adoption have special needs that often make finding them a family more challenging: they are older, are part of a group of siblings who need to be adopted together, or have medical conditions. WACAP devotes special resources to these children, traveling around the world to meet them in person, obtaining updated information that will help them come home, and providing adoption subsidies when finances are the only barrier preventing a family from adopting them.

Our humanitarian aid projects reach out to vulnerable children who don't have the benefit of a family to help them. These efforts change lives daily, as we help at-risk children in Ethiopia stay in school, provide safe housing for children with developmental delays in Korea, and assist children in the other countries where we work.

With the help of our supporters, we brighten the futures of orphaned and vulnerable children around the world.

What Can You Do?

Donate money

You can give to support WACAP’s child assistance projects in three ways:

  1. Give a One-time Gift Online
  2. Become a Partner for Children (monthly giving program)
  3. Give by Phone or Mail (contact us)

Donate supplies

WACAP accepts contributions of clothing, diapers, toys and other supplies. Each year, we send more than three tons of humanitarian aid to needy children and families around the world—and to save shipping costs, most of it is carried with WACAP staff members or adopting families when they travel to bring home their children.  See a list of most-needed items.

"WACAP is a great blessing to all the special children who wait for families, and I am only too happy to do my part in this good work." - Martha

Fundraise for WACAP

You can join hands with WACAP by creating your own fundraiser. Find out how.

WACAP works with Tapestry Books, an independent literary source for adoptive families, and in exchange receives small portions of proceeds from the purchase of books from Tapestry's online catalog

WACAP can also earn a donation every time you search or shop on the internet.

GoodSearch.com is a Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch WACAP’s donations add up!

Additionally, GoodShop.com is an online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to non-profit organizations.  Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, eBay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop so that every time you place an online order from those retailers, you can support WACAP.

Just go to Goodsearch.com and be sure to enter World Association for Children and Parents (WACAP) as the charity you want to support.

Add the WACAP toolbar to IE or Firefox

Once you add the WACAP toolbar for IE or Firefox, each time you shop at one of the more than 1,300 participating stores, a percentage of what you spend will be donated to WACAP at no extra cost to you! (you could even save money as the toolbar provides coupons and deals). The toolbar also has a search box and each time you search the Internet, about a penny is donated to WACAP. No registration is required!  Get Toolbar.
