Adopting from Vietnam

In 2007 WACAP became licensed and approved by Vietnam's Department of International Adoption at the Ministry of Justice to place children from Vietnam's Thai Binh province for adoption in the United States. Currently, however, adoption of children from Vietnam is on hold while the U.S. and Vietnamese governments discuss changes to the adoption process.

Therefore, when reviewing your application, WACAP will consider your eligibility and flexibility to adopt from another country as an alternative option.
