Adoption from India
Since 1978, WACAP has placed children from India with adoptive parents in the United States.
CARA-the Indian government adoption authority-and the local Indian courts have implemented a preference to match the youngest, healthiest children with families living in India. Currently WACAP is only accepting applications for families wishing to adopt children 5-12 years old that India considers healthy as well as for children 0–4 years old who have moderate to severe medical or developmental conditions.
If you would like more information about the process or fees associated with adoption from India, or you have questions about your adoption application, please contact us.
