The Milk Fund: Nutrition for orphaned children
When WACAP began working in the Russian Far East, we discovered that the most pressing need of orphaned children was food. Many orphanages simply couldn’t afford enough milk—babies sometimes had to drink tea in their bottles instead.

We created the Russia Milk Fund to meet this need. Initially, this fund provided supplemental nutrition for 300 infants and young children. Today, we’re feeding more than 500 children each month in orphanages in both Far East and Central Russia.

Through generous gifts from our donors, we also provided other basic needs to Russian orphans such as hygiene products, winter coats, diapers and school supplies.


How you can help
  • $1,200 purchases sports and physical therapy equipment for an orphanage.
  • $900 buys a new refrigerator.
  • $180 pays for a new water heater.
  • $40 buys a crib and mattress for a child.
  • $26 helps provide supplemental nutrition for one baby for a month.
