Helping Children in Vietnam
On November 15, 2005,
WACAP received approval from the People’s Aid Coordinating Committee
(PACCOM) of Vietnam to provide humanitarian aid to children. Every month WACAP
helps to provide better nutrition and care for over 100 children in three
institutions in Vietnam.
The Thai Binh Center for Orphan and Street Children is a private
institution that has helped over 240 children. For the past 13 years, the Thai
Binh Center has provided a safe haven for street children and infants who have
been orphaned or abandoned. WACAP is providing updated infrastructure for the
Center, including a clean water system, beds/cribs, mosquito nets, a
refrigerator, kitchen utensils and an electrical system.
