Domestic Adoption
WACAP is committed to finding permanent families for children in the United States who have been placed for adoption by their birth parents, or who have been removed from their birth families and are now living in foster care.
WACAP’s African-American Infant adoption program works with private counseling/placing agencies throughout the United States. These agencies search for adoptive families for infants who have been relinquished for adoption by their birth parents. Usually (but not always) the birth parents make the final choice of an adoptive family.
"Thank you so much for your help! I am looking forward to the regular updates and I have passed along WACAP's Web site to a couple friends interested in adoption. They said it's the best thing they've found out there and are already filling out paperwork!" - Cassandra
If you’d like to give a school-aged U.S. foster child a permanent home, WACAP can help. We work with private and public agencies throughout the country to find families for legally available children over age 8 who are currently living in the foster care system. Adoptive parents residing in Oregon or Washington are also eligible to adopt a child as young as 3. Learn more about WACAP’s US Kids Program.
