About Us

Our Vision

WACAP's vision is: a family for every child.  WACAP is a leading adoption and humanitarian aid agency. Since 1976, we’ve placed over 10,000 children with loving adoptive parents and provided food, medical care and education to more than 200,000 children worldwide. WACAP is one of the largest and most experienced international nonprofit adoption and child assistance agencies in the United States.

Our Mission

WACAP (pronounced WAY-cap) is a champion for children, finding and preparing adoptive families, and offering lifelong support after adoption.

Our Philosophy

We believe that all children are born with the right to a loving family. Each child deserves adequate nutrition, medical care and education. Adoption is a life-changing opportunity for children who cannot remain with their birth families. For every child adopted, however, many more are left behind. To benefit these children, our mission goes beyond traditional adoption services to include child assistance and humanitarian aid.

Our Work

Each WACAP staff member is committed to providing love and care to needy children, one child at a time. Our work is supported solely by funding from adoption fees, donations, grants and corporate support. With this support, we are able to collaborate with outside agencies and governments to meet the needs of children worldwide. Learn more about our work by viewing our most recent annual report
